For TT's if you are going to autocross ,roadracing,drifting then manual would be the way to go. If you daily drive the Z. with lot's of stops than auto is the wayto go.For drag racing auto is the way to go.But it will cost you more than the manual trans. with these mods HKS ALC shift at will system Specialty Z flexplate 4.10 rear diff Levelten ,protorque torque converter. Also if you are going for more power you'll need to upgrade your transmission .And the is where lot's of $$$ is involved.
